Naomi de la Tour is an interdisciplinary scholar and educator whose work explores the ways we imagine our worlds, the reinvention of education, and making change. Her work draws on Action Research, Contemplative Pedagogy and Critical Pedagogy. She has worked with colleagues in the Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning, where she is a Senior Teaching Fellow, to develop and introduce assessment methods which facilitate integrated and autonomous learning. Naomi takes an exploratory and emergent approach to her pedagogic practice, and has a particular interest in the possibilities and pitfalls of technology and education. She is a Senior Fellow of the HEA, has received the Butterworth Award for Teaching Excellence, and is a Fellow of the Warwick International Higher Education Academy (WIHEA). Her latest interdisciplinary module, ‘Change: critical understandings, practices and action’, which she developed with DPL Director Sean Michael Morris, will have its first iteration in Autumn 2019.
