Lori Ryan is Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Denver’s School of Education and Human Development. Lori’s work focuses on early education, educational leadership, equity and inclusion. Currently Lori’s action research projects engage children and adults in learning in the natural and digital worlds as she promotes, in partnership with early childhood communities, a strong image of children, families and educators as co-constructors of their own learning stories within unique cultural contexts. As co-director of the Buell Early Childhood Leadership program and lead faculty partner in the Boulder Journey School-CU Denver MA, Lori coordinates faculty teams to design innovative early childhood graduate courses and programs. Lori has been a member of the early childhood field since earning her doctorate from the State University of New at Buffalo. Prior to arriving at CU Denver, Lori served for 19 years as the Pedagogical Coordinator at Clayton School District’s Family Center, one of the three schools of the St. Louis-Reggio Collaborative. Her presentations and publications reflect her shared learning journey in socially constructed teaching and learning.
