Introduction to Digital Pedagogy

DPL Toronto Tracks Oct 03, 2020

This course is for those who are just getting started with digital learning and who want a place to experiment and consider the role digital technology can play in their own classrooms. We will spend time talking about our own teaching philosophies and exploring how to enact and augment those approaches with digital tools and digital thinking. We will consider how technology can show us new ways to think and learn—as well as when we should leave technology at the door.

In particular, we will consider issues of student agency and self-determination when using technology in our practice. How can we bring new approaches and tools into our teaching, while also allowing our students to make critical choices about how they develop themselves and share their knowledge and experiences?
