Heather Pleasants

Heather Pleasants, PhD (aka @heatherplez) is an adventurer, writer, researcher, and lover of human stories. She was born in Michigan, though her people are from Alabama. Heather is a senior assessment and faculty development specialist in the Faculty Innovation Center at the University of Texas-Austin, where she consults with fellow educators on experiential learning and dreams about radically re-visioning assessment. She is a senior associate editor of the Journal of Experiential Education, a co-editor of “Community-Based Multiliteracies and Digital Media Projects” and “Digital Storytelling in Higher Education: International Perspectives” and an alum of the Association of Independents in Radio New Voices program.
