Scotland, UK Oct 02, 2020

Dustin's teaching background is in teaching English as a foreign language, academic writing/composition and academic literacies development. He's always had an interest in technology, and so at some point, he started to enhance his teaching with technology. In his current role, he co-designs and develops pedagogy-informed, technology-enhanced curricula, programmes and modules through developing the knowledge and skills of colleagues within the context of a large business school, Lancaster University Management School. He also has a podcast in which he collects and shares the experiences and reflections of colleagues: the Digital Education Practices Podcast.

Dustin also works with lecturers to help them to identify areas for improvement and/or change within their programmes. Where a colleague desires to try out a new pedagogical approach or idea new to them and/or transform their teaching and how students learn, he helps colleagues to understand how the idea or approach can work and be achieved in practice while helping them to identify and implement their aims.

In sum, Dustin works to develop colleagues’ understanding of technology-enhanced learning and teaching practices that are underpinned by pedagogic theories and practices.
