Graduate and Continuing Education Credit at DPL

Beginning in 2021, the Lab will offer attendees the opportunity to earn credit for participating in the event. This option is offered in conjunction with the Learning Design and Technology (LDT) program in the School of Education and Human Development at CU Denver.

The option to earn credit is open to everyone. To earn professional development or graduate credit for attending Digital Pedagogy Lab, you must enroll in the LDT program for Fall.

Students already enrolled in an LDT certificate or MA program are eligible to register for Digital Pedagogy Lab as a Special Topics course.

Two-credit Option

Simply by participating fully in the Lab, you are eligible to earn two continuing education units (CEU) or graduate credits. You will choose a track to join, and the facilitator of that track will be informed of your intention to earn credit. They in turn will report back to the director of the Lab on your participation, confirming your eligibility for to earn credit on a pass/fail grading schema.

Three-credit Option

To earn three credits, you will need to fulfill the requirements for two credits (above), and in addition you will produce a final assessment reflective of your learnings at the Lab. For more information about the final assessment, see DPL4Credit Assessment. Your assessment will be reviewed and you will receive credit based on a pass/fail grading schema.

Both the two- and three-credit options require payment of fees through the University of Colorado at Denver when enrolling for Fall 2021. To find out more about fees, visit DPL4Credit FAQ.

After Taking DPL for Credit...

LDT offers equity-focused and pedagogy-first certificates in leadership, open and digital education, learning and instructional design, library instruction, and instructional technology. These certificates are particularly suited to PreK-12 educators and librarians, higher education faculty, and those working in the corporate sector. After attending Digital Pedagogy Lab for credit, consider completing a certificate in Open Digital Education through LDT.
